Accessibility Statement

Everyone should be able to use this site: with a keyboard, a screen reader, zoomed in, or with motion turned off. Here is what we do and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment

Bright Vessel LLC, doing business as Bright Hosting, wants brighthosting.io to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We treat an accessibility barrier on this site as a defect, and we fix it.

The standard we follow

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is accessible.

How we test

Every page of the site, on desktop and phone, in the Chrome and Safari browser engines, is checked for:

  • Automated accessibility rules (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A and AA), including open menus and forms showing errors.
  • Keyboard use: every link and control reachable with Tab, a visible focus indicator, a "Skip to main content" link, nothing hidden behind the header.
  • Structure for screen readers: headings, page regions, labels, text alternatives for images, and announcements when a form has a problem.
  • Colour contrast of text, including text over images and animated scenes, measured from the rendered page.
  • Zoom to 200%, enlarged text spacing, and screens as narrow as 320 pixels, without content being cut off.
  • Flashing: no content flashes more than three times a second.

Animations and motion

The site uses animated scenes. You can stop them at any time with the pause button in the header (on phones, Pause animations in the menu). Your choice is remembered as you move between pages. If your device is set to reduce motion, the scenes start still.

Known limitations

  • The animated 3D scenes are visual. Everything they show is also given as text on the page.
  • Links to other websites, such as our sister company's platform pages, are not covered by this statement.
  • Our testing combines automated checks with a review of what assistive technology receives from each page. We are adding testing by people who use screen readers day to day, and we will update this statement when that is done.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, tell us. Please include the page and what happened.

We will reply within two business days, and if the barrier stops you from getting something done, we will help you get it done another way in the meantime.
